After 22hrs of not eating or drinking yesterday, her appetite is slowly coming back to life. Now the long road to #rehabilitation begins...
Here are some notes about her surgery:
“...her right foot is causing increasing symptoms. She is quite keen to look at correction and recently has had gait analysis at The Wilson Home Trustalong with assessment by Professor Stott. The upshot of this is that there has been the recommendation for a tibialis anterior transfer to the mid portion of the foot, lengthening of tibialis posterior, gastrocnemius lengthening, +/- hind foot osteotomy and Botox to tibialis anterior as protection for the tendon transfer.”
Resulting in surgery: tibial tendon transfer, calf lengthening tibialis posterior tendon lengthening, botox administration R tibialis interior, R calcaneal osteotomy
Final result: a tibialis anterior transfer to the mid portion of the r) foot lengthening of tibialis posterior, gastrocnemius lengthening but luckily no ostetomy of my heal bone as surgeon was happy with the alignment of my foot
